I often feel the urge to break free—of labels, expectations, and fixed interpretations—and sometimes that unsettles the work. Because of my immigration background, I make from an in-between place, moving across contexts and forms. The work keeps changing, but certain patterns return.
For me, materials carry memory. Breath—attention, rhythm, presence—brings that memory to life. Instead of illustrating ideas, I try to create situations where material, time, and attention meet. Meaning comes from what happens in that encounter, not from an explanation.
